James Soejoto

President

James Soejoto is 17 years old, a SoCaler, the 4th of 8 siblings and is probably taller than you. As your president this year, he hopes to both continue and improve on the work of his predecessors in creating a positive, forward looking chapter that works not only on improving what we have now, but what we pass on to our fellow classmates. While not striving with every fiber of his soul for the NHS, his interests include reading, writing, soccer, gym, Aquarium and terrarium building as well as referring to himself in the third person.

Adam Lopez

Vice President

Adam R. Lopez lives in the great state of California, where spends a surprisingly low amount of time at the beach, but even less time dealing with cold. He is the second of five boys, an altar server, and a nerd. Being a nerd, Adam plans to improve the NHS by being super organized, making sure everything is written out clearly for posterity, and doing lots of proofreading and editing. He also enjoys learning different languages, especially Latin, but also including Español, 한국어, Italiano, et Français, all at various degrees, and (sadly) none quite fluently. Adam is—almost—a black belt in Shotokan Karate, and enjoys doing parkour and playing other sports with friends, especially ultimate frisbee and tennis. He has been playing piano for many years but has recently started playing the organ for his church, which is super fun (and a bit stressful)!

Adam is super excited to be working with all of the other leaders, especially James and Carlos, and can't wait to see you at the meetings and socials! He will keep you all in his prayers, and asks that you keep him in yours. J M J

Carlos Cabral

Secretary

Carlos Cabral had a very unusual childhood. He was born at a very young age. Not only that, but now he has become a disciplined 17 year old Californian. As the second youngest of eight hard working siblings, he works for his dad in his construction company on the weekends (and sometimes randomly during the weekdays). But his greatest achievement has been going to daily mass & praying daily rosaries. In his free time he enjoys... life; this is mainly because he sees all his time is free!

Carlos is excited to be serving as the NHS Secretary and promises that he will be far more superior than all the other secretary candidates in dedication, linguistics skill, and the very fact that he is alive (P.S. I was the only Secretary candidate). May Mary be your Mother & Christ your Brother! Holy Family, pray for us!

Chris Sebastian

Chapter Adviser

Christopher Sebastian is the Chapter Advisor for the Pope Leo XIII Chapter of the NHS, founding the chapter in 2014. Mr. Sebastian is the father of five children, and three of them are enrolled in Mother of Divine Grace School. He has taught for MODG since 2010. From being a MODG graduate himself to now being Director of Advancement, Mr. Sebastian has a strong background in classical education and promoting the values of MODG. He is also passionate about strategies for growth in every area of life and promotes the 4 Pillars of the NHS as a superb way for our members to serve Our Lord and those around them.

Gabriel Fojas

Math Tutoring Leader

Gabriel is a 17-year-old senior, is the eldest of seven, and is currently in the process of moving across the country (from Michigan to Texas) at the beginning of this school year. Among his interests are soccer, cello, piano, singing, achieving Latin fluency, and conducting his schola of siblings. Gabriel takes his education very seriously and has had much success (1490 SAT and 35 ACT). He largely attributes this success, especially in grammar and reading, to his MODG education since 2nd grade. Gabriel considers math to be one of the most important subjects anyone can study. He believes that math is instrumental in developing logic, critical and practical thinking, and perseverance, and that it is one of the surprisingly few ways available to humans to obtain absolute truth. As the Math Tutoring Leader for the 26/27 school year in the NHS, Gabriel is determined to help MODG students to study, struggle with, and succeed in this challenging subject. For anyone who struggles with math adequately prepares himself forallother mental challenges.

Jane Wolf

Latin Tutoring Leader

Jane is an eighteen year old senior who has been schooled through MODG her whole life. She lives in Michigan as the middle child of seven kids. Jane is busy throughout the year with school, nannying, volleyball, basketball, playing violin, and singing in a choir. In her free time, she loves to read, knit, color, and play with her dog. Jane is very excited to lead the Latin Tutoring GSP and help younger students understand Latin.

Michael Stankiewicz

Book Recording Leader

Michael is a 17 year old senior who lives in the greatest state in the Union, that of course being the beautiful state of Michigan (no sharks, no salt, no worries). He lives in the Saginaw Valley which is located in the lower peninsula right where the thumb and the palm meet on our lovely hand maps. Michael is number 3 of 8 boys and thinks, without bias of course, that it is the greatest place to be. He loves anything outdoors but in particular hiking and rustic camping. He loves playing pick up soccer, football, basketball, spikeball, and well...pretty much any sport. He loves babies, children, and books (with audiobooks being even greater)! Having theological and faith filled conversations are always a great way to learn more about the Faith. He also enjoys, most of the time at least, getting to know someone. When Michael joined the Book recording GSP with the NHS in the fall of 2025 he didn't think he would enjoy it as much as he does now! This coming year he is looking forward to leading, to the best of his abilities, the Book recording GSP and is hoping that new NHS members will enjoy it as much as he does!

Julia Catalano

Book Recording Leader

Julia Catalano is a seventeen year old senior from Toledo, Ohio and the fourth of five children. She has been enrolled with Mother of Divine Grace since 1st grade, and her favorite course has been Ancient History and Literature. In the past, she has been a coach for cross country and track and field, a core team leader for her parish’s middle school youth group, and a crew leader for Vacation Bible School. Currently, she volunteers with her parish’s Confirmation preparation program, babysits for a couple local families, and is a substitute teacher with Mother of Divine Grace. In her free time, she likes to bake, go on runs, crochet, and read. Her favorite book is Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, and she is so excited to be a leader in the Book Recording GSP this year and share her love of books.

Claire Spears

Website Leader

Claire Spears is a 17-year old senior from Rochester, New York and has been a student of MODG since kindergarten. She has three brothers and enjoys being the only sister in her family. While Claire can usually be found competing on the basketball court or softball field, she also loves babysitting, playing the piano, and designing websites. She is excited to be leading the Website GSP this school year!

Grace Webb

Newsletter Leader

Grace Webb is a seventeen-year-old senior from Fort Worth, Texas. She is the second oldest of three siblings, each of which have been with MODG since kindergarten. Grace is one of the biggest baseball fans you will ever meet, and an even bigger Texas Rangers fan. She also loves riding horses, and dancing two-step and swing.

Grace is thrilled to be co-leading the Newsletter GSP with Katie St Clair this year! She loves organizing and planning, so she will thoroughly enjoy leading this wonderful GSP andgetting to know more of her fellow MODGers!

Katie St Clair

Newsletter Leader

Katie St Clair is seventeen-year-old senior from Owensboro, Kentucky. She is the youngest of six kids, and has been a student of MODG since kindergarten. Katie loves anything artistic, and has been dancing classically (ballet, tap, contemporary, lyrical, jazz, and many more) for nearly twelve years. She also enjoys painting, listening to music, playing guitar, reading, and doing any craft that she can get her hands on.

Katie is honored and beyond excited to be a Newsletter GSP leader alongside Grace Webb this year, and is looking forward to spending a God-centered year working hard and getting to know more of her schoolmates!

Marian Santos

Shakespeare Leader | Technical Director

Marian is a sixteen-year old senior from Dallas, Texas, and the second oldest of six siblings. She has been a MODG student since kindergarten. She enjoys sewing stuffed animals, computer coding, doing Brazillian Jiu Jitsu, and hanging out with her siblings. Marian and her siblings all play string instruments; and, in their spare time, they perform at nursing homes and hospitals as a String Quintet (with their littlest sister as the conductor).

Marian is very excited to to lead the Shakespeare GSP alongside Regina Chaney and share Shakespeare's works with other MODG students!

Regina Chaney

Shakespeare Leader | Artistic Director

Regina Chaney (yes, it rhymes with Regina Caeli) is a 17-year-old, senior in high school, born and raised in Concord North Carolina. She is the second-youngest of seven children and has been enrolled in MODG since 6th grade.

Regina is notoriously busy, whether it be working on both her college and high school classes, singing as a soprano in her parish schola, leading her girl’s youth group “Gaudia Girls”, being a team captain in the national North Carolina 4H equine science program, or serving as a the NHS Shakespeare GSP leader!

In her free time, she loves reading, writing, ballroom and line dancing, painting, and making coffee.

Regina has always had a passion for Shakespeare and theater, specifically musical theater, and is so thrilled to be the artistic director of the NHS Shakespeare GSP for the 2026-2027 school year!

Dominic Pienovi

Ora Pro Nobis Coordinator

Dominic is a seventeen year old senior who lives near Portland, Oregon. He is the oldest of five children and has two dogs (Honey & Betty) to keep him additional company. He has done MODG since the seventh grade and has loved the rigor of the curriculum and the fantastic community, especially the NHS. Dominic works with his dad and grandparents at their family company. In his free time (of which he seems to have very little) he enjoys reading classic literature, playing the piano, working on guitar, and golfing. He cannot wait to grow in the faith through the OPN project along with all his fellow NHS members!

Mary Charlotte Hepp

Ora Pro Nobis Coordinator

(Mary) Charlotte is an eighteen year old senior who lives in Southern Maryland. She is the third oldest of seven children, five girls and two boys. Charlotte has done MODG for most of school with a couple odd years out. Her favorite subject is history and she enjoys telling any one of her siblings who happens to be standing still everything she read about. In her free time she enjoys drawing, sailing, swimming, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and almost any water activity. She also enjoys hanging out with her sisters, swing dancing as well as spending time with her family. She loves being a part of the NHS and is looking forward to co-leading OPN this year.

Evangeline Mariamichael

Member of the Month Coordinator

Evangeline is a senior, born and raised in Ireland. She is the oldest of 6, and has been homeschooled for most of her life. She enjoys both cooking and baking, visiting new cities (in Europe and around the globe), running, trying out new latte recipes, playing piano, and anything that has to do with entertainment, philosophy, and theology. Evangeline is also a guide and patrol leader in the Scouts of Europe. God willing, she hopes to go to a Newman Guide College next year, and appreciates any prayers during her discernment. She is looking forward to recognizing her wonderful peers in the NHS through the Member of the Month Project this year.
